Preceptor Awards
The UC College of Nursing is grateful for the invaluable support our students, faculty and staff receive from preceptors and clinical partners. Our Preceptor Awards are one way we celebrate and thank outstanding clinical practitioners and partners whose commitment to teaching, learning and leading in the clinical environment inspires the next generation of registered nurses and advanced practice nurses.
Prelicensure Preceptor Awards
Preceptor Award recipients are nominated by students enrolled in the UC College of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Accelerated Master of Science in Nursing programs. Two recipients are chosen and recognized with a plaque and monetary award. Recognition is based on:

- Being receptive to students' needs in the clinical environment
- Sharing expertise and passion with the next generation of registered nurses
- Demostrating professionalism, leadership and management skills
- Acting as a positive role model with well-developed interpersonal skills
*Eligible precepted experiences must take place during Summer 2025, Fall 2025, or Spring 2026. Nominations are accepted by April 1, 2026.
