Nurses and Advocacy

Advocacy is inherent to the nursing profession. Regardless of the setting where they work, nurses yield the power to affect positive change for the profession and the well-being of patients everywhere.  

Nurses engage in advocacy every day by standing up for the rights of their patients and the profession, but their efforts can potentially expand to impact health inequities, workplace violence, barriers to scope of practice, nurse staffing policies, and more.
