Leadership 2.0: Nursing's Next Generation
The Leadership 2.0 Program is a comprehensive program that seeks to increase the number of students in the College of Nursing who are first generation, of an underrepresented ethnicity/race (male), and/or who are economically disadvantaged, while helping such students achieve excellence in college and beyond. The program includes a pre-college outreach program, summer bridge program (dependent upon funding), as well as campus-wide academic support and retention activities.
Pre-College Outreach Program
We will establish partnerships with six Greater Cincinnati area high schools to provide pre-admission advising, ACT prep workshops, financial aid information and group campus visits.
Summer Bridge Program
The Leadership 2.0 Summer Bridge program was designed as a high school-to-college bridge for first generation, underrepresented ethnicity/race or gender (male) and/or economically disadvantaged students, and dependent upon funding will provide students with an intensive academic and social orientation to the University of Cincinnati during the summer session. This high school to college bridge program is designed to help ease students’ adjustment to college life and build a foundation for academic success.
The students will be introduced to the living learning community where they will live and learn together during the summer. The living learning community will continue throughout Fall and Spring semester as well as the academic and social support.
Academic Year Programs and Support
The Leadership 2.0 program will provide academic and social support throughout the academic year such as academic support services, advising, leadership and professional development and socializations initiatives.
Whether you are considering the BSN program yourself or are a parent or counselor of a potential nursing leader, we invite you to request more information about our Leadership 2.0 program.
