Advising Minorities By Inspiring & Transforming Them Into Outstanding Nurses
AMBITION aims to improve the diversity of the nursing program at the university through a mentoring system. The organization is run by a student-led executive board along with the College of Nursing’s associate dean of clinical practice, partnership and community engagement Karen Bankston, PhD.

Dean’s Student Ambassadors
Selected student ambassadors represent the Dean and the College of Nursing at various university and community events. These student leaders exemplify a commitment to the college, the community and the practice of health care. As a member of this select group, you have the opportunity to meet community and university leaders, interact with alumni and contribute to the hospitality of the College.
National Student Nurses’ Association
The NSNA promotes professionalism through student leadership and activities within the college and community. From organizing career fairs and expert lectures to volunteering, this organization offers a variety of ways to get involved and develop your own leadership skills!
College of Nursing students can train to be an officer in the Army Nurse Corps or the Air Forcethrough ROTC at the University of Cincinnati. Enrolling in ROTC can enhance your leadership skills and critical-thinking abilities while providing financial support to help make your professional goals a reality. Honor Society of Nursing
This student group recognizes superior achievement in nursing, encourages leadership development, fosters high nursing standards and strengthens commitment to the ideals of the profession. As a member of our local chapter, Beta Iota, you have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of programs and network with local nurse professionals.
The undergraduate student governing body of the College of Nursing provides student representation on college and university committees. The group also organizes a variety of student events throughout the year. From organizing a Relay for Life team to volunteering at local organizations to providing input on college and university policies and procedures, this group always stays busy. Watch for their many events throughout the year!
UC American Assembly for Men in Nursing
The purpose of the UCAAMN is to provide a framework for nurses, as a group, to meet, discuss and influence factors that affect men as nurses. This service-oriented organization is committed to the education of the male role in the nursing profession.
