Students
The College of Nursing offers free tutoring to its students through
the Student Affairs Department. This is a great resource for making
it through difficult classes- make sure you take advantage of it if
you need assistance!
For the Student
A nursing student can request tutoring by contacting
Mollie Labeda, Student Development Specialist at (513) 558-4394.
At that time, they will be given contact information for one of our
student tutors. It is the responsibility of the student to contact
the tutor and set up times to meet, and to keep the appointments.
Our tutors take time out of their lives to help our students, and
it is important to respect that. In addition, the student should
prepare questions or specific concerns about the coursework to bring
to each session. This will ensure that both tutor and student make
the most out of the sessions.
For the Tutor
Want to earn some money and help out your fellow nursing students?
We
are looking for undergraduate, graduate and accelerated students
to help. If you are interested in becoming a tutor, please contact
Mollie Labeda at (513) 558-4394. We will need some initial contact
information (phone and email) and the subjects which you feel comfortable
tutoring. We will give you some paperwork to complete and then go
from there. We will let tutors know when to expect contact from a
student, and you can set the time to be convenient for both. Then,
submit your hours to the College for your pay… and our thanks.
Please direct
any questions or interest to Mollie at (513) 558-4394.
