Student Orientation
How to Register
To register for courses, follow this procedure:
- Go to the OneStop web site (www.onestop.uc.edu).
- Double click on 'Register for Classes'.
- Enter your student username.
- Enter your PIN number (at first login, your PIN is your month, date and year of birth, you will be prompted to change it).
- Log on to the system.
- Choose the 'Quarter' you wish to register for.
- Enter the appropriate 'Call Number', 'Credits' and 'Course Type' (U for Undergraduate).
- Submit your request.
Finding Classes
- At the OneStop web site, click on the link ' View Class Offerings'.
- In the window that opens you can search for classes by 'Term' (Quarter). (You can also “Search for Class” to search by Term, College, Discipline, Day of Week, etc...)
- Choose 'College' (pre-requisites are mostly in the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences, you can choose Nursing, Raymond Walters and Clermont College also).
- Choose 'Discipline' (Biological Sciences, Chemistry, English, etc...).
- You will see a list all the classes in a particular discipline for a specific term. Use this lst to choose sections and put the corresponding code in when registering.
Things to Remember when Registering
- If you have submitted your request and it comes back as not registered, look at the courses in which you requested.
- A large red 'Closed' to the right of the course indicates the class is full.
- If you have one closed class it will prohibit you from adding others.
- A large red 'Not Added' indicates the class is open but the closed course is prohibiting you from registering for it. You should drop the closed course and submit your other requests. Proceed by choosing another section that is open, or attend the first day of the class to request to be enrolled. (You will need to take an Add Slip and obtain the professors' signature to over-enroll into a closed course. A professor is the only person who can give permission to over-enroll into their course. If an instructor chooses not to sign the slip you may choose to look for other courses possibilities.)
If you any questions, please call me directly at (513) 558-4394.
Good luck!
Mollie
