Honduras Experience
The trip to Honduras gave me an opportunity to enhance my critical thinking and practical nursing skills. I was able to interact with medical students, doctors in their early residency, attending physicians, a registered nurse and a nurse practitioner in the smaller communities of Santa Lucia. It was often necessary to think of alternative treatments due either to a lack of supplies or to having equipment different from anything we'd seen in our local hospitals and clinics. It was a wonderful experience, and I would recommend it to all the nursing students.
