Meet our
Graduate Students
Rachel Baker
Working as a medical social worker, I saw the care provided to patients by nurses and wanted to change my career. I began the Accelerated Program in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati and worked as a graduate assistant on the research team. This sparked my interest in nursing research and I decided to continue my education in the PhD program at UC. I chose UC for two reasons. First the College of Nursing provides a supportive environment for students, small class sizes allow individualized attention, and the Institute for Nursing Research provides support, resources and assistance. Second, the individualized attention and support of faculty have made UC College of Nursing, a positive environment to begin my career as a nurse researcher.
