Nancy Moss. PhD., CNM is the director of the Nurse-Midwifery and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Programs. Dr. Moss has and extensive clinical background in nurse-midwifery and women's health. She also has many years of experience in curriculum design and implementation. Dr. Moss holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master's of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky, and a PhD. in Health Education from the University of Utah.

Dr. Moss has held multiple offices and memberships in professional organizations throughout her career at the local, state, and national levels. She has experience as a member of the Board of Directors of the American College of Nurse-Midwives where she continues to serve as a senior site visitor and member of the Board of Review, Division of Accreditation.

How long is the program?
The program lasts six quarters, or two academic years. No classes are scheduled in the summer.

How does the application process work?
The College of Nursing Web site, http://nursing.uc.edu, contains the MSN admission requirements and an application for admission. The Office of Student Affairs can be of assistance to you in the application process.

Do I have to have labor and delivery experience?
No. One year of clinical experience in a maternal/child area is preferred, but labor and delivery is a plus.

When do I begin clinical experiences?
You would usually begin clinical experiences in the second quarter of the full-time program of study.

Can I take classes on a part-time basis?
Yes. Part-time study plans can be developed to meet your individual needs.
