Research Faculty Adrainne Jarvis Lane BSN, MSN, EdD, ANCC Professor, Adult Health Nursing College of Nursing University of Cincinnati EDUCATION 1977, BSN Indiana University BACKGROUND Prior to her academic career, Dr. Lane was in clinical practice in both medical surgical and psychiatric nursing. Dr. Lane also has experience in clinical staff development, corporate education, quality assurance, total quality management, and project management. TEACHING Professor Lane is known for her expertise in the Principles of Adult Health, Caring for the Oncology Client, Cancer Awareness and Detection, and Adult Education Concepts. Dr. Lane has taught undergraduate courses in Medical Surgical Nursing and Oncology. She has experience in teaching Nursing Theory at the graduate level and Consultation in the doctoral program. RESEARCH Professor Lane is most interested in Breast Health in Rural Women. Over the past several years she has become acutely aware that rural women are grossly underserved in the area of awareness, prevention, and detection. Over her career Dr. Lanes research interests have included Total Quality Management, Music r/t Post Operative Pain, Falls, and Breast Health. Dr. Lane is most active in the Oncology Nursing Society: she is a member of the national Steering Council and is active in numerous activities at the national, state, and local level. |
