Legal, Fiscal and Ethical Implications of Prescribing Drugs and Therapeutic Devices for Advanced Practice Nurses

Description

This is a six contact hour course covering the legal, fiscal and ethical implications of prescribing drugs and therapeutic devices in Ohio.  It is intended to fulfill the requirements described in Chapter Nine rule 4723-9-02 (A) (2) (b) (c) of the Ohio Nursing Laws for Advanced Practice Nurses who are interested in applying for a certificate to prescribe.

Objectives

Upon completion of this offering, the participant will have an understanding of:

  1. The state and federal laws and rules that apply to the authority to prescribe.
  2. The fiscal and ethical implications of prescribing drugs and therapeutic devices.
