Mission
To prepare outstanding BSN nurses who are committed to excellence.

To transmit knowledge and develop critical thinking in regards to nursing practice and the human experience of health, illness, and healing.

To equip the new graduate with the knowledge and skills necessary to function more independently in clinical decision making, providing direct patient care, delegating appropriately and supervising unlicensed assistive personnel, providing guidance to patients through the maze of healthcare options and resources, as well as, educating them on the various treatment regimens and embracing the changes necessary for a healthy lifestyle.

Co-op Program

Pursue Excellence through our Nursing Co-op Program

This one-of-a kind program encourages personal and professional growth. Experienced RN clinical preceptors provide one-on-one mentoring. Additional hands-on nursing encounters provide invaluable opportunities to students.

Only students with established reputations for consistent high achievement are accepted into this competitive program. The Co-op program, established collaboratively with The University Hospital, is offered exclusively to UC College of Nursing students.
