Society on the Abuse of Children
American Professional Society of the Abuse of Children is a professional society
to ensure that everyone affected by child maltreatment receives the best possible
professional response. Benefits to membership include statewide legislative
networking, subscription to the APSAC Advisor, peer-reviewed Child
Maltreatment, The APSAC Handbook on Child Maltreatment, APSAC Guidelines
for Practice, and more. APSAC Legislative Position Statements are available
online.
Comprehensive
Community Child Care
4C, Comprehensive Community Child Care, of Greater Cincinnati is
a resource and referral service dedicated to improve the quality, availability,
accessibility and affordability of child care. It helps parents find
child care, helps child care providers, helps employers address dependent
care needs of their employees, and helps the community address the
needs of children and families.

Medical Center of Cincinnati
Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati Web site provides information
on patient education programs, which includes diseases, conditions and surgeries,
diagnostic tests, health information, procedures for home care, medications,
and others. Information on seat belts and airbags, bike helmet program, nursing
education programs, physicians referral directory, and library resources
are listed. Directions to the medical center are provided. Adobe Acrobat
Reader may be needed to download and read some PDF files.

Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information
This site is a resource for professionals seeking information on the prevention,
identification and treatment of child abuse and neglect, and related child
welfare issues. The site contains a searchable database with over 24,000 records
on child abuse & neglect, and child welfare issues, online publications
ranging from What is Child Maltreatment to In Fact... Answers to Frequently
Asked Questions on Child Abuse & Neglect.
PEDBASE
Pediatric Database
PEDBASE contains descriptions of over 550 childhood illnesses. Information
on each disorder in this Database has been obtained from at least 3 sources
including Nelson Textbook of Pediatrics (14th and 15th editions), the Birth
Defects Encyclopedia (1990 and 1994 editions) and from at least one other source
(journal articles, review articles, textbooks). One may download the entire
Database as Shareware. An editable Registered version is also available through
the author.

Immunization Program
This CDC affiliate site provides comprehensive information on immunizations,
including: immunization schedules for children and adults; vaccine safety fact
sheets with a vast range of topics from Hepatitis B Vaccine to a discussion
on alternatives to vaccines; "Epidemiology and Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable
Diseases" course Textbook, 4th Edition, The Pink Book is available (requires
Adobe Acrobat Reader), and other comprehensive resources. This Web site has
almost anything one would want to know about vaccines.h
Virtual
PNP
The Virtual PNP maintained by two CPNPs has case studies, many
links to US children's hospitals, NP links, and other useful information.
