Pediatric - NP

The Pediatric Nursing major prepares the graduate for advanced nursing practice as a PNP (Pediatric Nurse Practitioner) or Clinical Nurse Specialist. In each role, the Pediatric Nurse is a provider of primary health care to children from birth through adolescence.

Extensive clinical experience is gained in numerous greater Cincinnati pediatric practices and inpatient and outpatient clinics, including one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the country. Opportunities abound for students to develop focus areas within the Pediatrics specialty. PNP students are eligible for national certification. Graduates have been very successful on the certification exam.
