Nursing Administration Leadership during times of dynamic change in the health care system presents special challenges. The Nursing Administration major prepares you to meet these challenges through specialization. Graduates are prepared for positions of leadership and change management in a variety of health organizations at different levels within the same system and in all sectors of the health care industry. Courses in the major focus on organizational behavior, micro and macro level organizational theory, administrative processes and operations, human resource management, financial analysis and management as well as health policy issues. Practica are with preceptors in nursing leadership positions. The Nursing Administration major is offered through the Community Health, Administrative, and Psychiatric Nursing Department. A dual degree MSN-MBA is available in conjunction with the College of Business Administration. Program Plan
