Nurse Educator Career Development Pathway (NECDP)

Courses

Nurse Educators are responsible for teaching and mentoring the next generation of nurses. Working within the classroom and in the practice setting, these nurses are responsible for preparing, inspiring, instructing and encouraging nursing students, and fostering in nursing students an appreciation of the nursing profession.

Registration Procedures

Please note: tuition for credit courses is $360 per credit hour plus fees. The Novice Nurse Educator Institute charge for 40 CEUs is $400.

  1. Complete the University Basic Data Form
    You can download the form at http://www.uc.edu/registrar/bdf.pdf (UC Registrar's website)
    Please note: on the section that asks “UC College through which you are enrolling”, select other and list Nursing.
  2. Return the completed form to the One Stop Student Service Center
    Mail to: One Stop Student Service Center, PO Box 210101, University of Cincinnati, 220 University Pavilion, Cincinnati, OH 45221-0101
    or Fax to:(513)556-2016
    or In person at: One Stop Student Service Center, Second floor of University Pavilion,
    Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am-7:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm.

  3. Register for course(s)
    Allow 24 hours after receipt of data form before attempting to register.
    • To register online go to http://www.onestop.uc.edu, under My Classes menu on left of page select Register for Classes.
    • Login page will open, enter Student ID (Social Security#) and PIN. If login is successful, the registration page will open.
    • In far left column enter Call #; in next column enter Number of Credits, in next column select G for graduate credit. When you have entered all the courses for which you are enrolling click on the SUBMIT button. The course(s) for which you are enrolled appear at the top of page.
